Come To Cranbrook This Christmas!

Picture your Kootenay Christmas starting out with a wonderful history filled sleigh ride at Fort Steele.  Once you've wandered through the historic little town you can watch their annual Christmas performance from the 1800's.

Are you interested in ice fishing? There are lots of lakes you can drive your truck onto and spend your afternoon with a warm fire and catching some delicious fish.

Take the kids tobogganing! The snow is amazing and you can pretty much toboggan in your back yard....or your neighbors if you've used up your snow building snowmen already.
Is snowshoeing or cross-country skiing an interest for you? Many lakes and trails are great for this around here.

Extreme tobogganing up at the ski hills or down the back roads.
Several ski/snowboard hills close by. Kimberly-30 minutes, Fernie-60 minutes, etc.
Pick your own Christmas tree for free!

The Fairmont and Radium hot springs are nearby if you would like a nice warm and relaxing afternoon.

If you prefer, there are several free natural hot springs that we like to frequent. Bring your tea lights and spend an evening relaxing in the moonlight.
The bavarian town of Kimberly is only 20 minutes away and is full of great European treasures including one of the oldest buildings in Canada. A 500 year old house brought over from Germany and converted into one of the most amazing restaurants we have ever been to!

Banff shopping and the beautiful park are only a couple hours away and can easily be done on a day trip.

Don't miss out on some great snowmobiling! You can take a nice easy ride down some trails or go off the beaten path for more thrills.
